These two videos show you how to build yourself an aquaponics garden that combines aquaculture (growing fish) with hydroponics (growing plants in water). The garden works by creating a nitrogen cycle where water is shared between a fish tank and a grow bed filled with vegetables. Fish produce waste high in ammonia that is pumped into the grow bed, where bacteria process the ammonia into an extremely rich fertilizer high in nitrogen. Check it out…
